Silverstone Moto GP - Red Bull Pro Nationals and 125cc 2 Stroke Championship  (Jun 22, 2010)

The famous Silverstone racing circuit played host to round four of the Red Bull Pro Nationals and the 125cc 2 Stroke Championship this past weekend, with good weather all weekend and with the MCF event timetable working around the British Moto GP round it was an all action weekend for everybody. The new MX track created on the outer edge of Silverstone's circuit was not to everybody's liking, but nevertheless in the time that they had to design and build a new circuit it was 'hats off' to them.

With the TM riders of Stuart Edmonds, in the RBPN Championship MX2 class, and with Jim Davies and Ryan Pottenger, in the 125cc 2 Stroke Championship with a new colour scheme on their 125cc TM machines just for this event, it was a busy weekend for all involved, Stuart piloted TM's new 250Fi machine in 'out of the crate' trim against the UK's top riders and machinery in the RBPN Championship where the MX2 machines not only battle against themselves but also against some of the UK's top MX1 riders on their 450cc machines. Stuart managed to find consistency and went 6 - 6 - 5 in the three main races with a 6th place finish in the Supercross style event on Saturday evening,
Stuart now sits in 5th place in the overall championship standings in the MX2 class

Current 125cc Champion Jim Davies blitzed his way to victory in race one on his TM 125 machine and in the subsequent races finished 3rd and 2nd, Jim also won his Supercross qualifying heat race and went on to finish 3rd in the Supercross main event. The weekends racing was not easy for Jim having to overcome numerous challenges in several race..... nearly stopping completely for fallen riders in the first turn, lapped traffic and even riding on to a podium finish after receiving a front wheel puncture on the first lap, Jim fought on as he always does and took 2nd overall for the event and also promoted himself to 2nd overall in the Championship standings, only six points from the series leader.

Ryan Pottenger also competed in the 125 class on his TM 125 machine and finished the event with a 5 - 8 - 0 scorecard, the last race DNF due to an crash on the first tabletop on lap one which saw Ryan being thrown through the air and knocked unconscious briefly from the impact with the hard track, with first aid on the scene Ryan was soon on his feet and walking around albeit for a few cuts, grazes and a headache. Ryan now sits in 9th place in the championship standings having only competed in 3 of the 4 rounds.

The next round of this exciting series takes place at the well known Skelder Bank circuit in Whitby this weekend.
