Gozzini does the double with TM (Feb 28, 2010)
Davide 'Gozzo' Gozzini gave TM its second consecutive title in the highly contested Italian National Supermotard Championship, piloting his TM 660 SMX 'Gozzo' thrilled the Italian crowds and took to the podium once again to be crowned national champion for 2008.
Sadly for Gozzini the hapiness was soon to turn to sorrow as the young Italian rider who has also been one of the favourites to take the World Supermotard S2 Championship this year was robbed of his maiden world title when a puncture halted his progress to score the few points needed to overhaul a narrow points margin gained by the series leader on Gozzo after a fall at a previous round.
