British Youth Nationals - Round 4 - Duns  (Jun 26, 2017)

The TM UK team and their 85cc Big Wheel rider, Jack Grayshon, made the long trip to Duns in Scotland for round 4 of the British Youth Nationals this past weekend.

After breaking his Tib' and Fib' in both legs during qualifying at round 1of the series, this was Jack's return ride to the British Youth Nationals. Making the move to the big wheel machine for 2017 season the talented 12 year old is one of, if not the youngest, in the class. Nevertheless, what Jack lacks in age and size, he makes up for with determination, even with a good few months on the sidelines he is nearly back to pace, if not lacking a little in fitness as would be expected.

Jack rode extremely well showing a good turn of speed and ability. Even after a very bad start in race one, he made up for it in the following races, exiting the first corner in the leading group in the next 4 moto's. Some small falls cost Jack time and places in several races, but remounting and charging on once again he worked his way up the charts to maximise his points tally ending his weekend with a 20/11/2/10/6 scorecard for 9th overall.

As expected, with more time on the bike and settling down back into racing at this pace, the better results came, with the 2nd place finish in race 3 being an outstanding ride for young Jack. After having time away from this level of competition the results exceeded expectations when it all went to plan, for sure once Jack is back to full fitness we can expect more to come as the year progresses.

A big well done to Jack and the team, and of course a big thank you to all of the team sponsors and supporters.

Thank you, TM UK.
