British Enduro Championship - Final Round  (Nov 21, 2016)

The last round of the 2016 British Enduro Championship, the 'Muntjac', took place this past weekend in the forests of Thetford on the outskirts of Brandon. After some heavy rain throughout Saturday night it was inevitably going to be a 'wet' event, however, the tree canopy of the forest kept much of the circuit in relatively good condition and made for an exciting days competition.

Josh Gotts, on his TM 250cc 2-stroke machine, put together a solid day and did enough to secure himself a top standing in the overall series. Ending the day in 5th place, 3rd in E2, Josh ended his season with 6th overall in the hotly contested Championship class.

Euan McConnell, who this year came out of 'retirement', showed he has not lost his touch. Expertly piloting his TM 300 2-Stroke machine, Euan secured himself yet another title to add to his tally, 2016 E3 class British Champion, nearly a decade since he last claimed the title previously on a TM 300cc machine!.

Guesting at this event was Irish MX star, Stuart Edmonds, Stuart, also ring a TM 300 2-stroke machine, looked set for a great result until a small fall in the penultimate test knocked him down the order. Unable to make back the lost 20 seconds in the final test, Stuart went from 3rd to 6th in the overall standings for the day.

A big well done to all the riders and supporters and of course, a massive thank you to all of the sponsors.
