Thomas Chareyre - World Champion 2016  (Sep 19, 2016)

The last act of this spectacular season for the Supermoto World Championship is held in Castelletto di Branduzzo.

Thomas Chareyre is approaching this final round with a reassuring advantage and with the goal, of taking home his 5th World title, becoming the most victorious rider in the history of Supermoto.

Since the first free practice the French rider has found the right feeling with the track of Lombarda, Thomas loves the fast track and has always achieved good results here.

Chareyre, in the Super Crono timing session, did something incredible, he sets a stratospheric time with a huge gap to his opponents.

In Race 1 Thomas does does not want to push in the first corner is not likely and is content with third place. Chareyre rides with intelligence does and tries not to make mistakes, luck is on the side of TM Factory team, Hollbacker retires with a problem and one lap from the end, Schmidt falls, giving the victory to Thomas.

At the start of the second heat it is a showdown between Thomas and his direct opponent, Schmidt, who takes the lead. Chareyre has tried to launch the attack but decides in wisdom to take home second place in the race, but more importantly the 5th world title.

Thomas Chareyre and TM Factory Racing has again fielded a fantastic season, ending with the double title, manufacturers and riders.

In the European Championship some exceptional goals have been met by Diego Monticelli, with some hard opposition this time out the result was not good enough to take the win. However the young rider, after this last race, now know he can work towards, and could aspire to, the continental title next season.

Juan Llados continues to progress race after race, going to end this event in sixth position.

For the team the last race of the season will be the trophy of Nations in Barcelona, Spain, where we will be alongside Thomas Chareyre to defend the title won last year.
