British Youth Nationals - Round 4  (Aug 29, 2016)

Round 4 of the 2016 British Youth Nationals took place this past weekend at the Milton Malsor circuit in Northamptonshire and even with a torrential storm on Saturday afternoon, putting an end to proceedings for day one, the BYN staff did a great job of getting track back into shape for day two.

Once again the TM UK team were in attendance to support Jack Grayshon, in the Small Wheel 85cc class and Troy Willerton, in the 125cc class. It was a weekend of ups and downs for both riders with some crashes, injuries and minor issues thrown in for good measure as well as having to deal with ever changing track conditions.

In the Small Wheel 85cc class young Jack looked set for a podium placing after his first two rides running at the sharp end with good pace, however, a big crash in race 3 left him with work to do. With 2 more great rides in races 4 and 5 Jack's hard work paid off, ending the weekend with a 3/4/17/4/4 scorecard Jack took a well earned 4th overall for the weekend and still resides in third place in the overall championship standings.

In the 125cc class, birthday boy, Troy Willerton had a great first day, a good 6th place after a fall in race one, combined with a very clever ride in race two, on a very slippery and treacherous wet track, taking 3rd place, left him in good contention for a top spot. Day two however did not go to plan, after another good 6th place finish in race 3, again after recovering from a couple of small slips, race 4 saw Troy dropping down the timing screen after twisting his ankle. The final race of the day did not fair much better for Troy having to contend with a small carburetor issue . Troy ended his weekend with a 6/3/3/14/15 scorecard for 9th overall.

Well done to all involved and thank you to all of our sponsors and supporters.
