Mexican Heatwave for Bernadini.  (Apr 19, 2016)

The track of the Mexican GP is one that does Samuele Bernadini does not prefer, however he manages to adapt well to the difficult conditions in the race of Leon.

After an excellent ninth time in qualifying Bernardini gave it his all in the qualifying heats, Samuel was able to start very well and in the first lap was passing in the second position, the TM pilot kept pace for a few laps and gave chase to Herlings. Throughout the qualifying race Samulele has tried to keep the pace of the leaders, but with great intelligence has decided a finish is better than a crash, he ends in an excellent seventh place.

On Sunday the track conditions have changed, the track is 'spoiled' and this created several problems for the riders, even Bernardini could not find the right feeling, but still raced with great determination.

In race 1 Samuel failed to start well and loses some positions, the Tuscan rider has however managed himself well and in the second part of the race he is able to recover several positions finishing in seventh place. The second race saw Bernardini able to stay with the best, for around half race he has occupied the fifth place, unfortunately due to some minor errors and a contact with an opponent, he loses several positions and he crossed the line in ninth position.

Thanks to two excellent results Samuele finishes eighth in the overall standings and is firmly 8th in the championship standings.

Two good races for TM Factory Team, and now after a little break, we return to race in Europe over the weekend of May 1 with the confidence to do even better.

Marco Ricciardi Team Manager commented on the race: "A weekend with some of the very difficult track conditions, Samuel was very good and each time has always given his maximum. We are very satisfied because he did not show the best rhythm, the heat did not help, this has affected his races also. We are all very happy for the great job done by the team in these two difficult away races."

Samuele Bernardini commented on the event: "Let us go home happy, I could do fifth overall, in race 1 I had a good rhythm until the end managing to make some overtaking in the last minute, in race 2 I collided with an opponent and I could not keep the same pace of the first run, we will go home satisfied for now as this was hard."
