MXGP Patagonia - 4th Overall for Bernadini  (Apr 11, 2016)

The World Motocross Grand Prix was held this past weekend in Argentina, part one of another two part 'fly-away' event which will witness the teams in action in Mexico this coming weekend, took place on the incredible circuit just outside the town of Villa de Agostuna.

The track itself was fast and fairly flowing and numerous jumps and rhythm sections made good use of elevation changes. The hard base, with its 'loamy' top surface, was in prime condition for the weekends action and as expected roughened as the race schedule continued.

Once again it was Samuele Bernadini and the new TM 250Fi MX machine in the MX2 class that was the focus of the TM Racing team. This new machine and its rejuvenated pilot, who struggled all last season with injury, have started this season well and the pairing are consistently at the sharp end of the field to date.

Again, a good qualification race saw Samuele and the TM within the top ten and this bode well for a good start to Sunday's main event. Sure enough two great starts saw Samuele launch from the gate and put himself in the thick of the front end action from the off. Pushing hard for the first half of each race the Italian pairing set off with the leading group and battled hard for position. Settling into a comfortable rhythm in the latter stages of both races saw Samuele locked onto the leading group, but more importantly, putting distance between his following competitors as the races wound to their conclusion. With two great rides Samuele and the TM 250Fi MX machine finished the day with a great 5th and 6th place, enough for a very well deserved 4th overall for the event.

Next weekend see's the MXGP circus in Mexico for part two of the South American tour.
