But, on Sunday recorded excellent times in the cross test and extreme tests that witnessed him conclude the event in fifth place in the class dedicated to foreign riders.

"During the first day of competition I made too many mistakes on the going but especially in the extreme. At the end of the day I finished third absolute but I knew that I could be fighting for first place, and so it was, the next day I went well and I managed to win the Absolute and the class."

"After the interlude of Lignano we have returned to run a real enduro event. Here for me it was a good workout in anticipation of the first round of the World Enduro Championship where we will start to get serious."
