Stuart Edmonds, no stranger to the TM Racing brand, debuted his Metcon CCR TM Racing 450Fi MX machine at the Hawkstone Park International meeting held this past weekend at the legendary Shropshire venue.

Having only ridden the bike a handful of times leading up to the event it was 'in at the deep end' for the Dublin based rider. Racing previous generations of TM's incredible 450cc powered machines, Stuart was quick to adapt to this new bike, a bike being ridden in its standard production form and featuring its new chassis layout that differs radically to the models he was more accustomed to. A great testament to both Stuart and the new TM Racing 450Fi MX.

With the weather leading up to the event not giving greatest hope to the conditions faced, it was soon clear that the track was going to be hard work for man and machine as the day began.

Stuart used the practice and qualifying time wisely to find his feet a little more, ending the session in 18th place. With two races to complete and the possibility of a super-final it was time to get down to business. With a good start in race one, Stuart worked hard in the conditions, settling into a comfortable pace that saw him end the race in 10th place. Race two again saw Stuart get a good start, however a mistake saw him drop from 8th place to 16th place within the first 2 laps, many places and valuable time lost. Regaining his composure Stuart slowly made ground and ended race two in 13th place.

These two results, 12th overall in MX1, earned Stuart a place in the MX1 and MX2 combined super-final. A decent start saw Stuart running around the top ten early doors, a position held held in the ever more treacherous conditions, until a crash with 2 laps remaining saw him drop to 15th place and with no time to recover this would be his final position.
