Tiley Wins Shillingstone Forest Enduro (Mar 17, 2010)
Long standing TM campaigner and veteran Enduro rider Carl Tiley showed he still has the class even at the ripe age of...well definately ripe anyway!, piloting his TM 300 EN to win the SCEC Hare and Hounds event last weekend held in the wonderful Shillingstone forest in Dorset.
The near 8 mile lap consisted of a good mix of enjoyable terrain, varying ascents and descents, tighter woodland sections, fire roads and some excellent trails were there to challenge all the competitiors. With 10 laps completed and with all, bar the 'fuel pitting' lap, around twenty minutes Carl's consistancy was rewarded and he came away victorious, beating local front runner Mark Cornick in the process.
Also competiting in the event was Ben Milward from TM dealer In-Chains Motorcycles in Ringwood, Ben riding a TM 144 EN machine completed 9 laps, finishing the event in 11th overall, 6th in championship and 1st in class.
