Davies And Edmonds Flying High At Foxhill  (May 1, 2010)

Current British 125cc Champion Jim Davies and current Irish MX1 and MX2 Champion, Stuart Edmonds, got off to a flying start in their 2010 British 2 stroke Championship campaigns at the legendary Foxhill Moto Parc this weekend.

Jim riding the incredible TM 125 machine crashed early on in qualifying after he tangled with a fellow competitor but still managed to regain his composure and pushed on with twisted handlebars to finish the session with the third fastest time.

Race one saw Jim mid pack after an average start but battling his way through the pack he had fought his way to second place by the chequered flag. Race two saw Jim cartwheeling through the air in the first turn and going down hard inbetween the pack, dead last and slightly dazed, he remounted his machine straightened the levers and set off. Charging through the pack Jim fell once again hampering his advances, however through pure grit and determination he pulled himself back into sixth place by the end of the race.
Race three gave Jim a sensible start and slowly he worked thorugh the top ten, the pace that the foxhill circuit allowed spread the riders out quickly and making ground was becoming hard work, again through pure effort Jim rewarded himself another second place in the last race of the day and secured a step on the podium with second overall for the day.

Stuart got off to an incredible start in the first open class race of the day riding the very well publicised TM 250 2t MX machine and within half a lap had secured the lead, however it was a lead that would only last a number of laps as Stuart arms pumped up and he had to ease his pace slipping back to fourth at the flag.
Race two gave Stuart another decent start and with a tidy ride he followed James Noble home to the flag to pick up a second place finish. In the last race of the day Stuart once again rode well and battling through traffic and fatigue Stuart took third place at the flag and gave himself second overall and another podium position for TM Racing.

Another good showing for the Maxima TM 2 strokes with Jim and Stuart sitting in second place in their respective championship classes.
