CASTELLETTO- The final battle of the Italian International Championship takes place at the spectacular fast track of Castelltto in Branduzzo.
Saturday qualifying worked out perfectly for the TM Team and the of great physical shape of Thomas Chareyre and his TM Racing 450Fi SMX was evident yet again , Thomas took the pole position once more.
Sunday was strongly affected by the torrential rain, heavy rain that lasted all morning during the practice sessions and early races, This forced the organisers to alter the schedules for the 'main event' and the International races were postponed for a couple of hours because of the storms. With a break in the clouds and the return of some sunshine the organizers and track staff worked impeccably to restore the track to normal conditions allowing the pilots to dispute the race in near perfect conditions.
The first Race: The official TM Racing rider, Thomas Charreyre takes off hard at the start and takes command forcing the holeshot, behind him is Nastran and Beltrami followed in turn by Lazzarini and Adrien Chareyre. Thomas quickly picks up the rhythm and makes ground on his opponents, Lazzarini climbs hard throught the traffic and so does Adrien Chareyre. The race gets very busy with many battles taking place behind Thomas. The TM Team are enthusiastic waving Thomas on due to the fact that he can win the title for the first time, this can also be said for Lazzarini but Thomas must have a very bad day for this to happen. However as the clock ran down it was Thomas victoriously passing the finishing line taking 1st place in race one, also with this win came the title, the new International champion Thomas Charyeyre with one race left to go. This is also the first title for Alex Serafini who has been appointed the new Team Manager.
Race Two: Ivan Lazzarini takes off first this time followed by Thomas Chareyre, who can now ride a little more relaxed seeing that the title is secure, but Thomas is a racer and he wants to race hard so does not sit on his laurels, with a perfect move in the first lap Thomas passes and takes the lead. The positions remain unchanged to the second chequered flag of the day that again waves victoriously for Thomas Chareyre the new Champion.
At the end of the race and with a title secured a radiant Alex Serafini wishes to thank all the people who work to build these splendid victories, and a big thank you also to the sponsors who each year support the small Pesarese Factory of TM Racing.
Congratulations Thomas.
