Motocross World Championship - Lommel  (Aug 1, 2011)

Lommel is always Lommel and Sunday's race confirmed once again the difficulty of this track, the required skill to be able to navigate the tough circuit is large, lap after lap the track changes continually forcing the riders to improvise and create new lines.

Saturday gave evidence straight away that Tanel was feeling confident on this circuit with his TM Racing 450cc machine, setting the fastest time in the official timed practice confirm this.

MX1 Race One: Tanel jumps from starting gate well but at the first turn the crowd behind him arrive at full gas, to survive the first turn undamaged is always a lottery, some pilots fall but Tanel keeps manages to survive the attacks from behind and stays on his machine although now in twenty-sixth position. His rhythm is good and Tanel takes positions lap after lap, some pilots slowdown in the final minutes of the race but not Tanel, he continuous to push hard and conquers the eighth position.

MX1 Race Two: The Estonian Express starts this race very determined, this time at all costs he wants to exit the first turn in the higher positions than previous and avoid everyone else's problems that he keeps getting involved in. Again his start his hampered by others mistakes but is better than in the first race. The track is a really hard work, the terrain is devastated from the previous races, the first race was very difficult for everyone and in the second race only the well prepared riders pull through, Tanel is certainly is one of them. The race is long, but never long enough when you need to catch up, however Tanel takes maximum advantage of the available time left and manages to improve his results. Fifth position in the race and seventh overall position of the day, Tanel and his TM are there and getting better every race.

MX2 Race One: The young Czevh rider, Petr Smitka, continues to recuperate the physical fitness lost due to injuries sustained in this season and this race at Lommel really tests the pilots fitness, Petr doesn't hold back and launches himself into the battles ending the race in twenty-fourth position in the race, sadly losing a few positions in the final lap.

MX2 Race Two: In the second race things improve for Petr and confirm that the young Czech needs to stay in the saddle and remain uninjured, slowly he is regaining the rhythm on his machine and as time increases his speed returns. He fights hard in this race and in the end things get better and he is rewarded with nineteenth position.
