The final 2 rounds of the 2011 ACU British Enduro Sprint Championship took place this past weekend at the Berwyn Leisure Park venue near Llangollen, Wales and the TM UK team was there in force to contest rounds nine and ten of this 2 day event. With it's Motorcross team in attendance, as well as the Electraction TM UK Enduro regulars of Jordan Scott and Robert Lynn, it was a busy weekend for the TM UK squad who fielded numerous riders across the class categories.
Here is a brief summary of the weekends action for the TM UK riders......
Enduro regular Jordan Scott piloted his TM 250Fi machine came home with a 3rd place finish in the Under 19 Class on Saturday and finished 11th overall out of all classes combined, on Sunday Jordan was just pipped at the pos,t after leading the Under 19 Class for most of the day, when a fall on the last lap saw him lose the victory by 2.7 seconds, Jordan took the bronze placing and finished an incredible 5th overall from all classes combined.
Motocross star, Stuart Edmonds, also competed at this event on his TM 250Fi machine and during Saturday's action in the Under 23 Class came home with a 6th place, 1st in the E1 class and 20 overall when all classes combined. On Sunday a change of tactics for Stuart saw him up his pace and for his efforts he was rewarded with 3rd place in the Under 23 Class, 1st in E1 and 6th overall when all classes combined, a great achievement.
Veteran Enduro star, Carl Tiley, piloted his TM 300cc 2-Stroke machine to 10th in the Expert Class on Saturday after missing the first lap completely due to getting lost on his way to the event!, however 'Stylee Tiley' still won the E3 class and at least now knew where the event was so would be on time on Sunday....we hoped! For his efforts in Sunday's competion Carl finished 4th in the Expert Class and once again took the E3 category win.
Motocross rider Ryan Pottenger was another of the TM UK MX squad to change disciplines this weekend and for Ryan this was to be his first event of this type riding a TM 300cc machine, after finding his feet Ryan soon got to grips with it and finished Saturday's competition with an 18th place in the Under 23 Class and 6th in the E3 category. Upping his game throughout Sunday Ryan found more confidence and with it some better times which took him to 16 th place in the Under 23 Class and 6th in E3.
Electraction TM supported rider Robert Lynn had a very good weekend finishing 2/1 in the Expert E1 class on his TM 250Fi machine.
With thanks to all of our sponsors and supporters.
