TM 125 rider, Chas Statt, once again proved that in the right hands the humble 125cc 2-Stroke machine is more than a match for the current crop double capacity 250cc 4 stroke machines by taking the overall at round 5 of the British Masters Amateur MX2 class this past weekend.
Chas, who is only now finding his form after spending the winter period recuperating from injury, is showing some incredible pace in these events and has been at the forefront of numerous races this season, not only is Chas running with the elite of the class but is also taking victories and even hole-shotting these 4-stroke dominated classes. This latest round of the 2011 series took place at the Milton Malsor circuit near Northampton and Chas not only set the fastest lap in qualification but also went on to finish the 2 day event with a 1 - 3 - 4 - 1 scorecard giving him the overall victory, Chas now sits in 4th place in the Championship standings and is firmly sighting himself up for a podium finish at the seasons conclusion.
Well done to the Statt family and thank you to all of TM UK's sponsors and supporters.
