Andorra- The World Supermotard Championship stops at Andorra for this next round of the 2011 Championship and although it is a beautiful sunny day the wind is excessively strong and forces the organizers to reschedule the days events, moving the warm up and cancelling the Superpole.
TM Racing rider Thomas Chareyre's weekend starts off well, he obtains second position in qualification only fractions behind his older brother Adrien.
Race One: The first race begins and Adrien Chareyre uses his pole position placing to his advantage and heads off into the lead, with Adrien commanding the race out front young Thomas must work hard to make places, after a not so good start and with much determination and passing of time eventually the TM pilot gains second position, Thomas tries desperately to catch his brother but time is running out and as the flag falls he is only 1 second in arrears from the winner.
Race Two. A difficult race, the second difficult race for Thomas of the day infact, after contact with Thierry Van Den Bosch at the entrance to the first turn Thomas crashes, but Thomes is strong and he remounts quickly and is soon on the pace taking position after position to give himself a well earned 4th position.
Race Three: Also the final race of the day does not go the way of Thomas once more, this time a mistake from Thomas on the start epenalizes him greatly and he can only work himself and his TM 450Fi machine into 7th place by the end of the first lap. Again the determination and strength of the young French pilot is impressive and he pushes forward like only he can do to eventually finish the final race in second position.
.
Thanks to the second overall position on the day Thomas now regains the red plaque signifying him as the leader of the Championship.
