GP of Portugal  (Jun 14, 2011)

The world championship circus has transfered to Portugal to the beautiful red soil track of Agueda.....

The qulaifying on Saturday allowed Tanel Leok on his TM 450Fi MX machine to appreciate from the start the latest innovation of his TM Racing factory machine brought for this race by his team and mechanics.

In the official qualifying trial Tanel sets an excellent sixth fastest time, while in the qualification race he can only earn thirteenth position finishing wheel to wheel with David Philippaerts.

In the Warm-Up on Sunday morning the Estonian Express makes the fastest time with a fantastic 1.46,566 lap.

First Moto - Racing is racing and is always a journey into the unknown as the gate drops, the important thing is to remain upright and try not to get involved with group falls and meaningless errors that could compromise the entire race, staying on board his machine and with no drama's Tanel manages keeping his distance from trouble coming home in a good tenth position at the race conclusion.

Second Moto - This time Tanel doesn't manage to take off with the leaders but manages to avoid collisions but remains blocked as a group of riders fall, Tanel procedes and manages to produce a good rhythm but the riders in front of him with the track clear ahead can work the lines much easier where as Tanel must work hard to pass his compeitors. Having too work much harde Tanel becomes very fatigued, but the strong Estonian rider manages to conquer another tenth position in this race.

Petra Smitka in the MX2 class still has no luck and once more is not in the compeition, after only recently returning from injury the Czech rider fell in the GP of France and is injured again.
