Hawkstone Park, UK
Motocross International race
The Estonian Express, no longer able to fight for the final victory at the Motocross International of Italy, has decided to participate in the classic Hawkstone Park Motocross event to see the potential of his bike on the Nordic sand.
Tanel found immediately the right feeling going to win the pole position in front of the Belgian Clement Desalle.
In the first heat Tanel takes the lead and holds it up to a last lap when his bike, due to the rupture of the silencer, visibly loses power and allows Desalle to overtake him. Tanel nevertheless was able to close in second position with 30 seconds ahead of the multiple world champion Steve Ramon.
In the second heat the Estonian TM Racing factory rider is unable to repeat the fantastic start of the first one riding in second position between the two Belgians, Desalle in front and Ramon behind. The pace get up and he tries to attack Desalle but he makes a mistake that leads him into the third place in favor of Ramon who pass second. But Tanel is very strong and he is not satisfied! He overtakes Ramon and recovers precious seconds even on Desalle until the checkered flag that saw him in second place for only 0.6 tenths of a second.
In the Superfinal with the best of the MX1 and MX2 Tanel Leok finishes fifth after a difficult recovery from the twenty-third position following a fall in the early stages of the race.
Despite the second place overall in the MX1 Tanel goes home unsatisfied and aware that he has just made a present to his rivals.
Next meeting March 27, 2011 at Gazzane di Preseglie (BS) for the fourth and final round of the 2011 Motocross International of Italy.
