Historic Week For the Cobra CX50cc  (Nov 1, 2010)

Cobra UK's National Team Rider Daniel Breen wins the first round of the national SX championship at the famous Belfast Odyssey Arena aboard the new CX50 (Big Wheel) While Cobra mounted 65 rider Dylan Woodcock also pull's out all the stops with a full house of over Nine thousand people watching Dylan crossing the line to a photo finish.

HUGE news out of Belfast this weekend as team Cobra's Daniel Breen from High Wycombe became the first racer in British Supercross racing history to win a major 50cc class amateur SX championship race in Northern Ireland this past weekend aboard the new Cobra CX50 Big Wheel conversion machine.

And if that wasn't enough, Cobra-mounted racers swept 1st place in all the 50cc and 65cc class qualifiers, giving Cobra 3 outright race wins in Belfast.

"I cannot begin to tell you how pleased we are here at Cobra," said Neil McClelland. "The work associated with the new CX 65 and CX50 Big Wheel project the last couple years bordered on obsession for us and when word came back that Daniel Breen had won 50 class - with only a couple modifications to be honest - we couldn't contain ourselves.

Dylan who finished 1st in his qualifier had a sleepy start off the gate in the 65cc 7-10 yr old Main event, he rode incredibly well and certainly put the best show on for the night as he worked his way through the pack, catching racer after racer, lap after lap and hitting all the big jumps he crossed the line in a near photo finish, making the podium on his CX65 in second place.

"Again, congratulations to all the Cobra racers and Importer CCM Racing who stepped up and made the trek to Belfast SX race," said Neil McClelland. There was a record number of Cobra-mounted riders entered in both the 50 and 65 classes.
