Finally, after a lot of rumours around the Motocross World Championship paddock, it's official!
Estonian born rider,Tanel Leok, will ride in 2011for the TM Racing factory team on a TM MX 450Fi in the MX1 Motocross World Championship class.
For a few years now the the Pesaro based manufacturer has shown interest to have "the Estonian Express" in their team, he was of special interest to Gastone Serafini, the owner of TM RACING S.p.A., who has been always attracted by the riding style of Tanel.
Tanel Leok, who was described by his friend and multi-world champion Antonio Cairoli as " the rider with the highest corner speed I have ever seen", said:
".... I like TM both as a company and as a team. I'm glad that they wanted me so strongly. This gives me great motivation to reach new goals. I look forward to start working for the new season which will starts with the International of Italy, championship I have already won in 2009 .....".
Team mate of Tanel Leok in the MX1 class will be his cousin Aigar Leok, back to ride again after the bad injury suffered earlier this year. Aigar, who is now in good health, will train hard over the winter and will certainly come back to the level that he is capable of.
In MX2 class will be the young Czech rider Petr Smitka who will ride the factory TM MX 250Fi, Petr will replace Martin Michek who has reached the age limit imposed for participation in this class. Also Smitka is enthusiastic about the new team and the status of factory rider.
