Wet n' wild time for Josh Green at EWC GP of Turkey  (Sep 6, 2010)

Electraction TM rider Josh Green's hopes of repeating the podium topping result he scored at the recent GP of Greece came to a decidedly wet end on day one of the GP of Turkey as a drowned bike forced him out of the opening day's competition. Mid-way through the first lap, and having not yet reached the event's first timed special test, Josh arrived at a deep river crossing to find a rider stopped ahead of him. Trying to ride around the stopped rider Josh and his TM ended up going for a swim. Able to empty his bike of water and get it running before going on to place third in class on the extreme test, shortly after the start of the second lap Josh and his Electraction TM team opted to bring the day to a premature end in order to check the bike over ahead of the second day's competition.

On day two Josh placed sixth in the Enduro Junior class, just 45 seconds behind winner Victor Guerrero from Spain. Although not 100 per cent happy with his riding, Josh posted the second fastest EJ class time on the opening motocross test and again finished second in class on the event's final enduro test.

Just one round of the '10 Enduro World Championship remains now, the GP of France in Noiretable on September 25/26.

Josh Green: "It was really disappointing not finishing the first day after my second day win in Greece. The first day was over before it really started for me because I drowned my bike on the first lap and that was pretty much that. I followed a rider into the river and when he stopped I went to the right of him. I don't know if I was going to fast or too slow but my bike started to float away. I put my foot down but I just couldn't hold it and under we went. I lost eight minutes getting the water out of it and getting going again. I managed to finish the first lap and started the second lap, but my bike was making some funny noises so we decided to make sure everything was ok for the second lap. Day two didn't really go to plan. I was a little off the pace on all test and generally wasn't quite fast enough. I wasn't feeling the rocks. I tried to push hard but it didn't work out quite as I'd hoped. I've got two weeks before France now, which I'm really looking forward to. I really want to end the championship with some good results there."
