The 2012 "King" Cobra
In addition to a host of changes shared with the Junior version the 'King' features....

1) For years, Cobra has been way ahead of the competition with its 30mm USD cartridge fork. Cobra has made the same technology that is on full size bike available to the little guys and girls. The result: more control, smoother ride over rough track surfaces, and improved chassis stability.
2) Mag wheels are as tough as they come.. no spokes to worry about and they're lighter!
3) The Cobra 50cc powerplant is the best in the business.. split-port exhaust, tuned pipe, real air filter and air box that doesn't allow dirt to drop in and get entrained into the engine, and to top it off, Cobra's 3-G (3rd generation) clutch that is both reliable and hooks up better than any of its competitors. In 2010, the King 50 engine receives a bigger airbox and new pipe for more power and torque, and the angle of the inlet has been straightened out to help the carburetor jet more cleanly and to give airflow a straighter shot into the cylinder. The result? More controlled power for better starts and lower lap times!
4) The all-new oval tube High Strength Low Alloy twin spar frame which first appeared in 2010 is a smaller version of its big brother found on the CX65. This architecture is laterally very stiff, but allows for the right amount of torsional flex so the bike behaves well over bumps and flows through rutted corners at the same time.
5) For over a decade, the King 50 has exhibited a boxy look that was loved by some and tolerated by most. In 2010 King 50's new bodywork was radically updated and modernized. Most importantly, it shares many ergonomic features with its big brother, the CX65, so that transitioning back and forth between both bikes will be seamless, in 2012 new rad scoops feature to make this machine even more appealing to the eye and with functionality too.
6) As expected, the rear suspension is best in class as well. The piggy-back shock is adjustable both in compression and rebound, and it has a nitrogen charged reservoir to maintain consistent performance throughout the entire length of a moto.
7) Top all that off with quality Scott grips and Dunlop tires, and you have an unbeatable package, 90% of the competition at Loretta Lynn's can't be wrong !!
